✨Eshet Chayil(Woman of Valor) Holding this speci ✨Eshet Chayil(Woman of Valor) Holding this special mug my husband made for me—and all the moms of our congregation—as a reminder of who we are in the eyes of God. At the top, it reads “Eshet Chayil” — A Woman of Valor.

This beautiful Hebrew phrase comes from Proverbs 31, where a woman is praised not just for her outward beauty, but for her strength, wisdom, kindness, and reverence for the Lord. It’s a term of high honor in Jewish and biblical tradition, celebrating a woman who builds her home, serves others with joy, and walks faithfully with God.

The three flowers on the mug each carry meaning from the Land of Israel—a land God calls His own.

Here’s to all the eshet chayil /strong women walking in grace, strength, and purpose today.

Potting up my tomato seedlings into 4” trays—t Potting up my tomato seedlings into 4” trays—this will be their home until they head out to the garden! I’m dividing them gently since I multi-sowed some, giving each one room to grow strong.

When potting up, I like to switch from seed starting mix to potting soil. Seed starter is great for germination—light, fluffy, and lower in nutrients—but once seedlings develop true leaves, they need more support.

Potting soil is richer and more structured, giving roots something to hold onto and providing the nutrients they need to thrive.

I’m bring a little bit of Maine to my Virginia garden & trying @coastofmaineorganic Bar Harbor blend for the first time (kindly gifted to me) and it’s known for being well-balanced—moisture-retaining yet well-draining, which helps avoid root rot or hydrophobic soil.

I’ve heard great things from other organic gardeners & excited to see how it supports healthy growth in my garden.

If you’re just getting started, this is one of those gardening tips for beginners that makes all the difference when you’re hoping to grow your own food!

{Garden Transformation} We just revitalized our g {Garden Transformation}

We just revitalized our garden space by tearing out our wooden garden beds that were rotting just after four years and replacing them with metal Birdies beds by @epicgardening

We got the 15 inch short beds in slate grey configured in 4 x 8 size.

The beds are not hard to put together, but there were a couple garden beds that needed some adjusting to fit our space and my husband Karl put all four of them together & adjusted them to fit our unlevel garden space. He’s the best!

we also are putting in an irrigation system from @dripdepotinc so stay tuned for that project!

Did you do any big projects for the 2025 garden season?

👉Also let me know if you want more information on the garden beds. I do have a discount code as well if you’re in the market.

They eventually turned into a brown moth. Nothing too dramatic eh?

Have you seen any of these caterpillars where you live?

{Garden Transformation} We just revitalized our g {Garden Transformation}
