I planted my first seed at 47 years old, and a few backyard raised beds soon became something much more: a thriving garden sanctuary filled with fresh food, flowers, pollinators, and lessons learned through every season.
My years as a nurse taught me to observe closely, ask thoughtful questions, and keep learning and it turns out those skills are just as valuable in the garden as they are in healthcare.
